Treatment Options & Services
Cleanings
A regular cleaning is vital to ensuring proper health for your teeth. Our Hygienist aid the process by giving your teeth a physical exam and bringing any concerns to Drs. Kuzma. They will then remove Plaque and Tartar build up, Polish your teeth, give an Expert level of flossing and a gentle Rinse. After which a Fluoride Treatment is applied. Cleanings should occur twice a year. Contact us today to schedule your cleanings.
X-Rays
Dental X-rays are images of your teeth that your dentist uses to evaluate your oral health. These X-rays are used with low levels of radiation to capture images of the interior of your teeth and gums. This can help your dentist to identify problems, like cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth.
Fillings
To treat a cavity your dentist will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth where the decayed material once lived. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse (such as from nail-biting or tooth grinding).
Crowns
A crown is basically a cap for a damaged tooth. It can be made from a variety of materials, including metal or porcelain. You might have a crown over a molar that rarely shows, except when you yawn widely, or you might have crowns on your front teeth that were specifically designed to match your other teeth. A natural appearance that doesn’t detract from your smile may also be a priority for you. A dentist can discuss the various options and help you to figure out what best meets your needs
Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They’re often made from porcelain or resin-composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth. Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth. The top front eight teeth are the most commonly applied veneers.
Dentures
Dentures are appliances that are custom made to replace a person's missing teeth and restore the appearance and oral functions that were lost. The denture can be either a full denture or a partial denture. A full denture is used when all of the person's teeth are missing and a partial denture is used when only some of the teeth are missing.
Implants
A dental implant is a surgical fixture that is placed into the jawbone and allowed to fuse with the bone over the span of a few months. The dental implant acts as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. In turn, this "artificial tooth root" serves to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture.
Root Canals
A root canal is a dental procedure involving the removal of the soft center of the tooth, the pulp. The pulp is made up of nerves, connective tissue, and blood vessels that help the tooth grow. In the majority of cases, your dentist will perform a root canal while you’re under local anesthesia.
Extractions
Excessive tooth decay, tooth infection, and crowding can all require a tooth extraction. Tooth extraction is performed by a dentist and is a relatively quick outpatient procedure with either local, general, intravenous anesthesia, or a combination. Removing visible teeth is a simple extraction. Teeth that are broken, below the surface, or impacted require a more involved procedure.
Bone Grafting
A dental bone graft is a procedure performed to increase the amount of bone in a part of the jaw where bone has been lost or where additional support is needed. FDA approved fabricated bone is then surgically fused to existing bone in the jaw.
Cosmetic Smile Designs/Makeover
A smile design is the process of planning cosmetic procedures that will create a more pleasing smile. This process considers the patient's mouth and face shape to create better aesthetics. The process can involve implants, crowns, veneers, whitening, lip lifts, and gum alterations.
